Despite the bizarre interruption, Michael gave possibly the most exceptional BRITs performance ever as he sang the moving Earth Song. The King of Pop was clearly determined to make this an unforgettable performance. He hired out Earls Court 2 for an entire week to rehearse, and his set boasted more backing dancers and singers than all of the other acts put together.
