Denis Law received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Football Extravaganza, in aid of Nordoff Robbins. The star studded night raised more than £500,000 with the auction led by Nick Stewart and Geoff Shreeves. Well known attendees included Gordon Banks, Mike Summerbee, Sting, Sir Alex Ferguson, Teddy Sheringham, James Nesbitt, Graham Taylor, Sam Allardyce, Steve McClaren & Tony Adams MBE. Jonathan Ansell and the cast of 'We Will Rock You' performed for dinner guests in the Grosvenor Hotel Great Ballroom.
