Raye received the most nominations with seven in total, breaking the record for the most nominations received by a single artist in a year. British rappers Central Cee and J Hus tied for second with four each. Raye made history by winning six awards, the most by a single artist in one night. For the 2024 awards, there were two major category changes: the number of nominees in the British Artist of the Year and International Artist of the Year categories increased from five to ten, and the British Pop/R&B Act category was split into British Pop Act and British R&B Act. The winners in these categories, as well as in the three other genre categories, were decided by a public vote via Instagram. The 2024 BRIT Award statue was styled by Rachel Jones and produced by JM Enternational. Major winners of the evening included Raye for British Album of the Year with “My 21st Century Blues,” presented by Jaime Winstone and Stuart Worden. Raye also won Song of the Year for “Escapism” featuring 070 Shake, presented by Monica Dolan and Jo Hamilton, and British Artist of the Year, presented by Jonathan Bailey.
